Registration/Fees to Participate

There is no fee to participate in this event. All sessions, speakers, meals and materials are being provided compliments of AIDS Coalition Silicon Valley and the organization’s generous sponsors.

Registration forms must be submitted by April 1, 2009. Occupancy is limited to the first 800 attendees. Schools are limited to a maximum of 30 participants unless preapproved (contact the Coalition at (408)451-9255). All participants must be in high school, college or 13 years of age as of April 9, 2009.

The Silicon Valley Youth Leadership Summit on HIV/AIDS is a one-day event bringing together over 500 young people from throughout the South Bay area to learn about leadership, citizenship, life skill development and major issues facing youth. The Summit curriculum is centered around building a stronger community through young citizens and gathering information from those individuals about what can be done to address problems such as the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

The event will be led by high school and college aged youth, with the support of over 50 local non profit professionals, HIV/AIDS specialists, educators and counselors. Beyond incredible speakers such as Michael Uslan, Executive Producer of the Batman movie series, attendees will listen to government dignitaries, HIV positive youth, technology company leaders and so much more. The Summit will be a dynamic, youth focused, entertaining, educational and fun experience that is not to be missed.

Parking

There is a parking garage located underneath the hotel, which is for The Fairmont San Jose guests and patrons. Parking is on a space-available basis. There is no self parking available. The hotel is close to public transportation such as VTA Lightrail. Public parking garages are located throughout the downtown area with close proximity to the hotel.
