Taste of Silicon Valley is a festival-style event featuring the diverse culinary offerings of the area. Appetizer sized samplings of Silicon Valley eateries are available, as well as some of the finest wineries, coffee brewers, beer makers and more. The festival features a community stage, local celebrity chef competition, cooking demonstrations and additional area vendors.
All proceeds from this event benefit the Silicon Valley AIDS Leadership Center, a nonprofit organization in San Jose. The Center will use the funds for HIV/AIDS prevention, education and grants to local programs that provide services such as testing, counseling, case management and legal counsel. This is one of the largest fundraisers for the AIDS Leadership Center, second to the annual Walk for AIDS held each October.
